Deatschwerks getting into Nissan tuning?
Just thought this was strange. Didn't know they did tuning?

Deatschwerks Nissan SR20DET ECU Tune Redtop:eBay Motors (item 390036413927 end time Aug-07-09 13:16:57 PDT)

Thoughts? 1-2 day turnaround seems pretty good.

My question:

We have tested the same tune on several cars including two in house cars with successful results. All the cars have similar supporting modifications.
We were able to dyno 268.71whp on 1 bar (14.7lbs) of boost on this tune on a DynoJet dyno.

Ummm... Could have fooled me, but 16psi doesn't seem like you're beyond peak effic. with an S14 T28...

They make good injectors I have used them on a couple of cars with good results.

No doubt, I am running some right now.

268 on 14lbs of boost thats got to be wrong

maybe they meant the timing and fuel map is tuned to max efficency at 16psi, and if you go outside of that psi, then it might be richer or something? that would make sense

yea that number does seem low, but if there talking about a rwd set up its not bad and its about on par. and 1bar is about max efficiency range for the smaller t28s, just because its at max efficiency doesnt mean it wont make any power with more boost, just means that its at the max efficiency level, meaning your not going to gain as much per psi after that level.

I know Calum doesn't even recommend their injectors

I had a set of 550's flowtested and ALL 4 of them deviated from the rated CC's by over 50.....

also turbo effcency levels are made to have the turbo at a peak not only in performance but reliability, overspinning the turbo out of its efficency range can over time damage the turbo, wear on the seals and bearings, ect, its not to say that the majority of the ppl who go turbo dont go out the the specific turbo efficency range, rather than get another turbo that can be more efficency at a lower psi.

persay you have a 2871 and run 26lbs to get xxx of power, where as if you went 35r at 26lbs it could make that power more efficently and not take the turbo out into a range that over time can damage it.
