lets see if i can remember this right. Follow head torque sequence and torque as follows:
First stage 25 ft-lbs, then to 50 ft-lbs, then still following head torque sequence loosen each nut 1/2 turn and retorque to 50 ft-lbs, do this one at a time and repeat two additional times for a total of three loosen then tightens, This helps seat the stud threads into the block properly as well as squishing the gasket completely which allows a much more accurate torque reading and allows you to not have to go back and do a retorque after running time.
After the 3 loosen then retorque to 50 ft-lbs then do a final torque of 75 ft-lbs and your all set to go.
Again havent had a problem at all.
