gti-r valve guides
hello sr20-forum. I searched for an answer but came up empty.

I am building a gti-r motor for my b13. I already have:

ACL Race main, rod, and thrust bearings
ARP head studs
Cometic 1.1mm metal head gasket
Crower Titanium Retainers
MSD 2014 72lb injectors
MSD Style Injector Connectors
Resistors for low impedance injectors
Walbro 255lph Fuel Pump
Hitachi 100amp Alternator
JGY GTI-R Fuel Rail

I want to do things right the first time. I have never heard of valve guides, and want to know if I should get them, do I need them? I found a set of bronze guides on the Jim Wolf website.

I plan on getting the S2 cams, with stock springs. Here's what I want:

Need
* Nismo FPR or other
* GT3071 Turbo
* 6 Puck Clutch
* Lightweight Flywheel
* Oil Pump
* GTI-R Water Pump
* Prothane Motor Mounts
* JGY Turbo Manifold
* Brian Crower stage II Cams for GTi-R
* SE-R Koyo radiator
* ARP rod bolts
* Piston ring set

THANKS!

Yes do get them. Usually the intake side is in fairly decent condition but the exhuast side will probably need to be replaced. Do them both to be on the safe side.

What about rocker arm stoppers? Are those needed too?

Make sure the Rod bearings match the GTiR rods, the 19mm ones

Make sure you have a GTiR SPECIFIC Head gasket

Make sure you have the 12mm GTiR Studs

BC does not make specific cams for the GTiR, will need JWT S3Ms or Jun or Tomei.
