noise isnt there unless he car is moving with moderate gas. i let it idle for like 20 mins in the driveway and it doesnt make a noise. if you put it in gear and let it get rolling no gas, no noise. only when you gas and then the noise is like a "whoo whoo whhoo" that speeds up with the car and will even make like belt slipping kinda squeak. on deceleration it will kinda do it but if your cruising say on the free way with cruise control on its quiet, stab the gas there it is. if you even release the gas but leave it in gear unless its a harder deceleration it wont do, so yes pushing the clutch in ,"removing load", makes it go away. i hope that kinda gives you guys the idea. no pop out, no grinding, no lockout. have driven it 100 miles a hour and a few thousand miles. just trying to get this fixed.

and after typing that i am gonna look at my belts. they have been on about 5 years and i have had a small oil leak just as long.... in describing the noise maybe its something over there. im gonna loosen the belts and try and look at the idler pulley. might be crazy but it wouldnt be the first time....

all motor mounts are new now. noise is still there. fml im about to drive the car off a cliff. heard the car from the outside for the first time, it sounds like a dragging noise. definitely not a knock or pinging. speeds up as car accelerates.weird thing is car will do it in every forward gear but not reverse. the reverse thing i think, but let me know if im wrong, rules out clutch and probably tranny? anyone with a trained ear wanna stop by lancaster ca and tell me what you think?

Does it sound like a gargling/ vibrating noise? If so, I'm almost positive that it is the shims on your diff. I had this problem when accelerating and decelerating at high RPM.

It's all in the matter of checking if the shim clearances are within spec. You can do it yourself if you have the tools but, it requires dropping the transmission.

sometimes you can spray white lithium grease between the clutch arm and the case and it'll drip some down and 'short term fix' it - sound goes away, easier figguring of what's wrong.
