yeah the car definetly sounded good, practice, it seems like your taking your time on the shifts too, when im at the track i quick shift mine, but thats because i figure since its 3 hours away i might as well give it the best shot, so far my b14 trans has held up fine, we will see how it does with this s15 t28 at 20psi,

i run on 22" X8" X14" MT's and they hook really well at the track i run at, I lauch with my foot to the floor bouncing the rev limiter with a very quick slip of the clutch, almost dumping it. They spin the initial launch and then grab, i pulled a 1.72 60' ft and probably could have done better had i done a better burnout, probably could have hit a 1.6XX 60ft. I will be going back out after the convention to try and hit a low 11 @ over 120mph on 20psi on the same slicks, more than likely i will have to shift into 5th being im thinking the trap speed will be more around 125mph.

Great times again, and just keep practicing, i think the car definetly has more in it.

yea i havent been able to shift hard since the clutch setup im running i dont know if it is the solid hub or just the trans being a POS,

i dont mean to sound like a hater but you really think you are gonna hit 125mph on a t28 ?
highest i have seen is around 118mph, guess it is possible with a 2200lb car

its not just a basic t28, the s15 turbo is a dual bb T28, actually its a gt2860 if i can remember the numbers right, there are people making around 330whp with no cams, with the cams in there i wouldnt see why i couldnt hit that pretty easily if not much higher, my car weighs in at 2200lbs maybe less, when i run at the track i remove the rear seats and passenger seat, worth another 60lbs of weight. At 20 psi i dont think i will have a problem at least hitting over 120mph im thinking more around 123-125 but we will see here in the next month. Weather will be nice and cold high 60's low 70's instead of low 90's like the last time i ran on my t25 haha

No, a GT2860 is a Disco Potato. It's not a 'real' GT anything or it would GT wheels inside, which it doesn't, its just a BB T28, just like the Avenir turbo is just a BB T25.

Relax, nobody is hating, I was correcting what you thought a S15 T28 was. I was also asking for a link to said dyno numbers, as for trapping 125mph on the T28, yes, you will have to prove that.

run on sentence? and if this is the turbo you got from madoubt13 guy, i seriously still don't think it's a gt type turbo. remember when i talked about the turbine housing being different??

does you turbine housing have 4 or 6 bolts holding the CHRA on the turbine housing?

Its no hating its just funny the way that you assume your car its going to run. All I can say is that you wont see 125mph trap speeds from your setup period... You will need a turbo with better top end to get those king of trap speeds and at least 400whp. With that turbo you wont see more than 340whp even with cams. All i can say its that the lighter chassis will make you drop a couple of tenths but you wont see 125mph on the 1/4 mile and maybe not even 120. If I remember correctly Siths car on this forum its the quickest T28 car I have seen and he trapped 117 mph doing 11.6-7 with 1.6 @ 60 ft and that was with S4 cams an a t28 @20psi with 320 whp and also the car got some weigh reduction so you do the math....

I agree with Payu.

You will nto see a 125 MPH. Can you run a nice mid 11 second quarter mile? I have no doubt in that but the trap will not be as high as you think.

I have close friends who have ran 350-400 whp SE-R's and they all trap between 117-119.

You will need 400+ whp to trap 125mph.


Hell more power to you. Prove us wrong. Also you say your going to the dyno after you go to the track? I think you should flip that. Strap the car down, tune it, then track it. You have blown a few motors already. I bet some tuning may have prevented that.

How are you tuning this car?
