Thread: suspension

-So first off let me start by saying i have read the suspension threads numerous times. and i am expecting some of you to totally school me in this thread. dont be afraid to. i am looking for imput on my set up. it is simple yet i hope effective. thanks

-I am in the process of doing the front suspension of my car. The follow is the list of part i have gathered/ or am gathering currently for my set up. I do mostly highway driving (75mph+) and like to feel the road.

-Front set-up
gc coilover sleeves with 7 inch 400lb springs
shortened oem housings
koni yellow inserts
koni bumpstops
new oem boots
new oem top hats
new balljoints
es control arm bushings
se-r sway bar with es bushings/es endlink bushings
homebrew strut bar

-Rear set-up
koni red
gc coilover sleeves
7 inch 300lb spring
koni bumpstops
new oem boots
es sway bar bushings
es control/trailer arm bushings

perfect,except leave off the ES bushings on the rear.

I *think* you are getting very close to, if not over, the damping capabilities of the Koni B13 Reds with 300 pound springs. Double check that those inserts can handle that much spring rate.

Also, unless you have a pair of B13 Reds, they are no longer available.

why leave the es bushings off the rear? would es control arm bushing and then oem trailer bushing work better? are you talking in terms of suspension bind?

ill search and find that out today, also, what do you mean they are not available? They are for sale all over google.. unless im finding the wrong part..

Might as well get the B15 fronts in the rear as well.

I am *pretty darn sure* you are finding the wrong part. The B13 Reds are no longer in production and haven't been for a while. Greg V can no longer get them. Happynole was looking for a set recently, no dice. I'm not sure what you are looking at, but I am *fairly certain* the B13 Reds are a wooly mammoth. No longer in production and extinct.

Although, on second thought, the B13 Reds must be able to handle 300 lb springs, because they would work with front Hypercoils.

Yeah, but the 290 is only reached when fully compressed. Which is different from the lineair rates of the Eibach springs.

Disagree, with one cavet. I'd do them in the rear, but skip one end of the trailing arm.
