Koni service question
I am planning on selling my Foltz built ex-Happynole CSK's, but one of the front struts has a bent shaft, and I may also want to get the full set tested before selling them. @Shawn B, what was your experience with Truechoice, and how spendy was it?

Hey Brent, on my phone now, but IIRC, Shawn found that Koni wouldn't work on assembled struts in the housing's, butTruechoice would.

OHH, you don't want to tear them down. Yeah, then you have to go to TrueChoice. Sorry about that.

It was....$306.00 to rebuild two front B15 Spec V's. Including shipping.

IIRC, they have a "base price" plus parts to fix them.

They did a great job. Spoke to a guy with a British accent. Very knowledgeable, polite, professional.

The only odd thing was when I first called them the time-frame was initially a week turnaround once received. Then when they received them, I shipped them out via USPS ground, they had more orders arrive, so it was two weeks. Then....they got them done in a week. It just depends on their current work-load. Hellifiknow.

I would not have any problems using them again.

I thought that the Koni "no working on inserts stuck in housings" info came from Will? LOL. I never called them, figured it was a lost cause. You could give them a ring or email to confirm.

Wes commented positively on Truechoice. I liked them because they are a big outfit with an impressive website. Do tons of work on much more expensive set-ups than ours, because racecar high-dollar stuff. Been around a long time, yada, yada. One division is literally racing products, the other is the Koni suspensions. Seemed like a safe bet, and it was.

Hope that helps.

Anytime sir.

You should see the catalog they sent. $eriou$ suspension set-ups. Double-remote-resevior-helper spring-coilover-uber-Koni-holy-crap-madness. I just need a Porsche on which to install them.
