Those are the spring perches and have nothing to do with how stiff or soft they are. All the damping adjustment is with a tool at the top or bottom of the strut. depending on variant.

Cool, thats good news, I adjusted the fronts at the tops by simply turning them with an allen key, I suppose the backs should be the same. I just never bothered to look because the trunk carpeting covers them.

You were 100 percent correct, thank you. I just pulled out the rear seats in the B13 and sure enough the adjustable tools were at the very top of both struts. They are 36 way adjustables, I set all 4 corners to as soft as possible, in our apartment complex there are 6 nasty speed bumps that are unavoidable you have to go over each time you leave and each time you come back, and it drives me nuts. Thanks for the info.

Use the stock bolts, they're less likely to slip.

You do realize that everytime you change camber, you change toe also right?

1, if you know what your doing, its actually very easy to do with the factory bolts.

2, I do alignments all day long, I think I know that toe is adjusted after setting camber. Adding one degree of camber, or pulling it, only moves toe maybe 3/4 of a degree, couple turns of the tie rod and its good. Hell I throw it on the rack at work every saturday before we close up and tinker with different adjustments.

My old service manager never understood why I had my car on the rack every week too.
