Its true I do prefer a stiffer spring. I get my advice from a guy who ran gc/csk @440/400 for a dd B14. My B13 was raised and aligned today and is a joy to drive.

Well here's what Mike said about owning 2 NXen.

I guess I prefer Hyperco on rough areas like the DC city streets, and
RM in a smoother area like OR. RM is a little more consistent and
sporty (firm).

FRom my experience with my Hyperco/AGX combo, I find them almost too stiff for daily driving... almost. That all changes when I corner
I can't comment on the RM's.

FWIW, this is the most stiffly suspended car I've ever daily driven by far.

If you think the Hyperco are borderline oo stiff, stay away from roadmagnets, lol

BTW why hasnt this been moved to the suspension section?

Which Mike specifically, and what user-name?

Benito, I am falling into the "comfort" over outright "performance" category. I'll lean towards the "comfortable daily-driver" (Hyperco Gen II) and give up some absolute performance (RM Gen II) and suspension-precision to get that extra comfort.

While still having an incredibly well engineered daily-driver performance suspension that is willing and able to carry me around a road course in very-respectable, if slightly compromised, fashion.

Agreed. Which is why I am changing from AGX to CSK's.

Here also, the most stiffly suspended car I have ever daily driven. And it has been my daily-driver for seventeen (17) years.

OK. That settles it, I gotta give up some absolute precision and handling to keep my Hyperco Gen II's. You guys have convinced me that I am old, brittle, with chronic injuries to my right knee, right wrist, right shoulder, and C4/C5 in my spine.

Therefore, I am never putting a stiffer spring than my Hyperco Gen II's on my Classic. Next up, my CSK's.

Then I can have a ride like a Caddy. A CTS-V Caddy to be precise.

Good choice Shawn,we old dudes should stick with the hypercos LOL
I still love the RM setup, and is daily driveable ,unless your roads are rough. They are not bouncy or hitting the bumpstops...just "firm"
We will see on the autocross track soon

I like my RM springs. They are very stiff for just driving around town, and I have my agx and a very low setting. Not the kind of spring you want if you want that pillow comfy feel to your car though. Highway they have a great feel to them. Overall cant complain but some days you want a soft ride and its nots not there.

this. love my RM's. my girlfriend, hates them. quite hard if you're concerned about daily comfort.

also, your alignment should be spot on regardless, but i found with a poor alignment, the RMs road even harder. make sure your alignment tech know's what he's doing.

I have a B14 with AGX hyperco setup. It corners nicely. Soaks up small bumps but it took me a while to get the AGX on the right settings. There is no front sway bar, but the car corners very well. With the shocks on stiff there is a lot less body roll, but it doesn't seem to handle as well on full stiff.

The car is a lot more tail-happy under trailbraking with the front sway removed. I kinda like it, but it can come up on you quick lol.

Overall I am pretty happy with my setup. For a daily it is perfect. Compromised ride, but considering the handling improvement it is 100% worth it.
