Thread: Thermostat Needle Comes and Goes?

I played with the sensor, and noticed i was missing a fuse while i was checking some other stuff. hopefully no more problems pop up.

are your fans turning on after a few minutes ?

I would just get a new head temp sensor from nissan, $ 16 bucks and reinstall a new one. Just to be safe besides those sensors should be changed at 40K intervals.

I would also install a a Real TEMP gauge , autometer or other. 215-220 is where your fans should turn on depending of the type of sr20 you have .

later OBD2 sr20s the fans kick on later 220 deg.

the one good thing i can say is yes, the fans DO kick in. everything else worked except the needle when i accelerated. it was the weirdest thing I'd ever seen.

yea from time t time our cars do wierd stuff,

i remember once i had all my dash lights go out and HAVC panel go out then it would shutter and off again , i checked everything and it did it fo about 2 weeks then it magicaly went away.

also the dash gauges would not go up even if i was going 50 mph it would say 0 mph and 0 revs. then a speed bump and up and down they go. magicaly it corrected itself.

key words are, it corrected itself. if it aint broke dont fix it lol

just replaced the sender, the connector was moving around on it. the 1 wire is for the gauge
