Thanks for the offer, but I'm so far away it's ridiculous. I'm better of trying to find something locally, since shipping will cost more than the item.. Thanks for the offer anyway

On the engine topic, picked up a new cap+rotor today. Also scored a can of MAF-cleaner. Will do small tune ups and prepare for the engine cleaning fiesta this friday

Yeah, I don't doubt that, In my case, It's the previous owner that didn't change the oil for a significant amount of time... Nice going there..

until the motor is clean run some diesel oil that has more cleansing agents in it, and change oil more frequently.

German castrol (0w30 must say made in germany) it is the only full synthetic castrol makes almost a 40 weight. Outstanding oil and has good detergent/ cleaning. Best oil in a dd sr in my opinion/ experience. The other oil i use in redline 5w40 for the summer for track days/autox.

I have also used the atf added and run through the engine before an oil change. As menfioned above. It seemed to help.

This is what i found:

OMG!!!!!!!!!! That looks like a bunch of Honda's threw up in it

One product comes to mind for me. Seafoam!! Unless you have an HOA With an engine that messed up I would double the amount run it for maybe 300 miles, put in some regular oil, put some more Seafoam in and run it for maybe 1K. Then do a full synthetic oil change.

With an engine that bad I don't know if anything would work though.

By the way the reason I'm cautioning you with the HOA thing. Until the impurities are all but cleaned out Seafoam will make your car smoke like crazy.

I'd be careful with seafoam in that motor. Sludge may be holding some things together at that point, seafoam could possibly bring a world of new leaks.

Small update. Scrubbed the valvecover clean but I left all the sludge on the head. Drove 1500km and did an oil change. Pitch black oil. Will be doing more frequent oil changes for some months and see if it's getting cleaner. I'm avoiding engine cleaners for now, the fully synthetic 5W-40 seems to be cleaning up just fine. Only downside is that the oil is expensive as /ยค"&..
