Nice power for the car, Jamie is doing nice work on the ECUs

I have seen many SR20DE motors make 157-161 with the boltons below.

USDM SR20DE
JWT ECU
JWT Pop Filter
JWT S4 cams
Hot Shot Header or SSAC Header
2.5 inch exhaust
JWT or Fidanza Flywheel
JWT Clutch
UR Crank Pully
JWT Solid engine mounts

I made 177 WHP with everything above + parts below.

JWT springs and retainers
JWT C3 cams
Bored 54mm MAF
Bored TB

with the 177 WHP my 94 SER ran 14.1-14.2 at 97 MPH

Miko is right on target, my first se-r with a jdm 9.5:1 de
Short ram intake
JWT pop charger
JWT S3 cams
UR 2 piece pulley set
JUN ultralightweight flywheel
Spec Clutch
SSAC 2 1/4" secondary (first ssac header that came out)
2 1/4" exhaust w/ gutted cat and straight through muffler
Stock ecu with some fine tuning to the tps for throttle response and Timing set at 17 deg
Car made 155whp on a dynojet back in 2003 and ran 14.3@97mph full interior sunroof se-r on 205/55/14 Falken Azenis back when they made them in that size. 2.1 60ft. Very potent setup back in those days.

Im surprised more people havent done a worked up de with all the good stuff but I guess with the ve soo cheap now its just easier to swap and make power.

Great job on the tune Jaime and car definitely probably feels great. Keep up the good work.

Wow, it's nice to see all the DE love. You're all going to point at me and laugh, but I haven't driven the car since Jamie tuned it. That's changing today though, with another run up to CT.

Enjoy the ride with a slightly larger shit-eating grin today! It is great weather in PA. I hope it is the same for your trip to CT.

I daily my DE, have done so for over 100k miles!

Yeah Ashton. Bang for Buck the VE is the best way to go these days because of the current prices. A worked DE is still impressive though

Its just cool to see nice DE setups again. I love all the setups but these days more used SE-Rs have VEs than DEs. Its almost at the point where leaving it stock is just cooler.

Yeah with price vs price the ve is hard to beat. Doesnt take much to make 200whp on one vs to try to do the same thing on a DE. Its still nice to see some DE love. I know back in 03 and 04 when I had mine, I was putting a serious hurting on all the hondas in the area, didnt matter if it was a b16, gsr swapped hatch, type r integra, k20 rsx, turbo d series honda and even a couple turbo em1 civic si's. The honda boys loved my car back then because they just couldnt understand how I was running consistent 14.3's on street tires run after run and trapping the same mph as the turbo si's. It was definitely fun. That was back when every weekend there would be a good 75-100 racers at the track.

The DE definitely kicked ass back then. A VE in an se-r back then would have really just blown them away.

Im trying to recall what a ve cost back in 03 and 04. I remember they were scarce for sure and Miko and a couple others were just starting to put them in their cars. I cant recall what they sold for back then but i can bet you it was well over 2k for a VE motor back then. Maybe Miko can chime in on that one.

Not over 2k. I think I paid $1400 for mine way back when.
