That's what I'm saying. I mean if you daily drive the same spots you know where the water pools up. I don't get it. I ran my turbo air intake like 5" off the ground too. Under the battery with no splash guard. As well as NA and VVL w/ CAI.

1) is the generic filter just like the original actual HotShot filter?
2) Regardless, would I be better off with the K&N Filter?
3) Would the K&N filter even fit? it's twice the length.
4) Is this REALLY a HotShot CAI?


1. Yes that was the same filter they sent me years ago.

2. You will be better off with a Jwt pop charger

3. I doubt that filter would fit in there with the splash shield installed the smaller one just barely fits in there.

4. The piping is Hotshot without a doubt. My Hotshot maf adapter looked similar to that so it is also possible that is a original part, it does look modified though with the pipe sticking out of it.
