It does sound like the specs don't match the cams at first glance.
I think you are measuring 1mm valve lift properly at the top of the valve, that should be fine.

I'm as confused as you are.

Right, turns out its not me or the cams, Kelfords supplied the wrong spec sheet. I was second guessing everything i was doing when it turned out to be right lol

New Specs

Nett valve lift 13.00mm
Duration @1mm lift 255 inlet and 256 exh
Inlet timing Open 25.5 BTDC Close 49.5 ABDC
Exhaust timing Open 56 BBDC Close 20ATDC

Suggested Center lines remain the same.

Will have another crack at it tomorrow, this is much closer to what i was seeing, they sad the issue was with their computer calculation, using a set 1.55 rocker ratio is not correct at lower lift levels ? And someone made a typo on the inlet duration too.

if you have the chance now, and even if you dont i suggest you do whatever you gotta do to put a 4cw crank in there.

it will make HUGE difference in a n/a motor.

Right, got it all back together and in the car, once i fixed the fuel leak at the rail, primed the oil system and wound it over, plugs back in and it fired straight away.

Off to the dyno next week, will be good to see numbers, i will post up finished pics and dyno sheet once its done.

First race with this motor in 2 weeks

It is good to see someone doing a decent NA set up. Can't wait to see the numbers!

That 8cw looks to be knifed down pretty well, just like the BTCC 8cw used in the old school race Primera's. Im pretty sure it weighs the same, if not less than a 4cw VE crank. A light 8cw> 4cw all day for high revs.

Bad ass build. I want to see some videos when it is up and running.

This sounds very cool. How big did you go with the bore?

Yea all sorted, up and running. Made 181 hp at the wheels, old motor was 160hp same dyno. Pretty happy with another 20hp

I believe this dyno reads low as our old 2jz made 470hp on this dyno and 549 on another shops dynapack

First race's on sunday. Should be interesting as my friends dad has purchased a sr20det P10 race car to give that a go too.
