Nope, 53J head....

Since the ITBs were installed from the beginning I never had the chance to make a dyno comparison between the stock admission and the ITBs, but never had a problem with them. From comparing my car with others with similar mods I noticed that throttle response was improved but that’s it.

To install the GTiR ITBs on a 53J head, you’ll have to drill some additional holes in the ITBs flange to make it fit plus some minor port matching and of course a stand alone ecu to work with a map sensor.

One thing from the ITBs that you wont get from anything else is the bbbrrrrrooooooaaammmmm!!!!!

Yeah that's the ones.

I'm busy braking in the motor at the moment. Today I set the rpm limit to 5krpm, and forgot the vvl activation was set at 4500rpm.

Man the sound of the ITB's when the cams switch is something else!

Was quite a nice surprise

with crazy high compression, race fuel and i believe carburators bisi made 400hp.

he knows how to build those sohc, by no means is it a street motor, its a full blown, balls to the wall drag strip motor.

If you are carrying everything over from the head up, i would run what you said, but i would go manley rods over the eagles, and i would knife edge the 8cw and probably run a crank scraper

still one tough as build!
