Hell winter time is one of the best times to take our cars out to the strip. Nothing like 40 deg dry cool almost sea level air. Just better hope the track is prepped well and do a nice fat burnout as well to get those slicks nice and heated or your in for a slippery ride.
I wouldn't suggest shockproof either. I've run it in cold weather and makes shifting difficult until it warms up...which can't be good from a wear perspective.
I pointed out the winter thing because there's a lot of newbies that will read your suggestion and go forward with it without knowing all of the facts. I'd hate to see a forum member screw up a tranny because they weren't fully informed.
