Its not going to be noticable at all. The only reason they recommend that is for a lifetime of reliability purposes. Its not like an acidic oil that just quickly eats away at syncros. Our trannies wont last a lifetime anyways so who cares. If it saves the trans for us high hp guys why not use it and especially since it makes the shifts that much smoother and protects better.

Keep in mind, some of us daily our cars in extreme cold. My guess is anything below freezing and it's going to be carmel candy until it warms up. Might not be the best choice for winter. Just covering all bases.

Yeah and so would shockproof oil. Just sayin. lol. Most of the big guys that need that oil dont drive their cars in the winter. AZ has nice driving weather all year long. Hell winter time is one of the best times to take our cars out to the strip. Nothing like 40 deg dry cool almost sea level air. Just better hope the track is prepped well and do a nice fat burnout as well to get those slicks nice and heated or your in for a slippery ride.

I wouldn't suggest shockproof either. I've run it in cold weather and makes shifting difficult until it warms up...which can't be good from a wear perspective.

I pointed out the winter thing because there's a lot of newbies that will read your suggestion and go forward with it without knowing all of the facts. I'd hate to see a forum member screw up a tranny because they weren't fully informed.
