Thread: 2012 Convention Drag Racing

my bet is on the worlds fastest sentra record that breaks first with my car again not to say that I wont already have that with some pre convention testing, lol.

Dont get me wrong, i cant wait to see some of you east coast guys builds come out and put up some good numbers. Im all about seeing some sentras really throw down and the scene pick back up for us and inspire more big builds again.

All i can say is I hope your transmissions survive for those still using the 5 speed. lol

I'll win the bracket racing hands down. Back to back 16.7's @ 83 at this year's event. That's with the air on and listening to the radio while waving to fans in the stands. I haven't drag raced in 25 years, mind you. Now that the crusty dust has been wiped off, you guys might as well not even show up. It's in the bag for the old man.

Fear the SE-L...apparently the paint was too shiny for this turbo guy and he lost his focus. There's more ways to win a race than just HP....

Before or during the convention? But seriously, I hope to see Ashton there with his car, cause I'd like to see a heads up race against chapnutz.

I'd say build a spare motor while you build the current one, just in case.

I am just going with the flow of smack talking. I hope his build turns out well and he gets what he wants out of it.

I for one will be happy with my goal. A mid 130's car in the mid 11's on radials.

I believe the record is in the 9.70 range? I could be wrong. I dont recall who it was set by. I believe the mph was around the low 140's as well. Correct me if im wrong. I know there is a 9.90 at 140mph posted up on the old forum all the way back from 2001.

Again post up what the record is and ill be sure to break it. lol.

Again should be all good competition and good fun. Ill get my fun in before the convention in plenty of time that if something does go wrong I can fix it and still be ready for the convention but again hopefully that wont happen and im doing everything i possibly can to prevent it. So should be good but prepared for the worse.

I am going to aim to make this convention, even if I have to ride with someone out there.... I can't make any promises yet but it sounds like there should be some great battles. I hope all this shit talking continues, but is done all in good fun. I just want to see some great times and exciting races.
