Garage for rent?
I just moved to an apartment out in Lake Oswego and no longer have a garage to use.

Just bought this car a month ago and there is a LOT of work to be done. I've got a pile of parts waiting to go into the car. But it's been so rainy.. and i don't know anyone with a garage :\

Was wondering if i could rent someone's garage in the Portland area for cash or maybe in exchange for a hand with your mechanical issues.

Yeah, i'd take up your offer but this is motor mounts we're talking about. I need a dry and level surface to support the motor and such.

& sorry about that. I just got my parts and the weekend has been busy. I've also not been driving my car until i get these parts. I think my motor mounts are wearing the axles. ( the mounts are way busted... )

Did you get your clutch in yet?

I can do that, but i am not interested in slipping around underneath the car in the rain

Also, the area i live in is on an incline too. That plus the rain makes for jack slippage/bad grip on the pavement.

I'm doing all 4 mounts and the one towards the firewall is what i'm concerned about. No room for error or slip there. I'd be okay doing this for suspension, but not interested in risking a motor drop on my face because my jacks aren't situated right

If you guys have a geek-out I'd be down. I need a garage too. Stupid townhouse complex. I've got a few little things to do to mine and would help. Will help with engine mounts but the heavy lifting is on you

Hm.. another idea would be for some of us to chip in for a month's worth of garage rental.. go rent from some apartment/storage complex.

$50-$100 would get us something, given that we could find someone who's okay with a few cars coming in/out. Maybe that's a stretch. But $12-$20 per person would be reasonable for that kinda service IMO.

Course it would be a hell of a lot better to know someone on the forums who has a garage. Whoever's out there, you got some potential friends.. LOL
