cam gear choice for VE
Im confused on what type of cam gear to buy,

ive recently bought sr16 (non n1) cams and was advised to set them at 2.5, -5

the jwt cam gear sets at 2.5,5,7.5 and 10

the CS gears looks like it increments by 1 until 8....

or are they the same and just confused?

Custom Steel cam gears ftw

i set mine [sr16 cams] @ +3, -5 [didnt have the jwt gears so no 0.5] and went from 14.1 @ 98mph to 13.9 @ 100mph. no other change

peace

with the cam gear settings i mentioned, the cams were sr16ve NON n1 cams

i dynoed 190whp on crappy e10 90 octane fuel with that setting some time after i got the timeslip

mods: reprogrammed ecu, 3" exhaust, jwt pop charger, modified ssac heade
r

with n1 and cam gears @ the same +3, -5, i made 197whp but didnt better my time lol. could be driver error!

with th sr16 non n1 cams, i had a lil better mid around 4500-6500

well if that's the case, straight up i was getting 98mph and 14.1 ET

think i dynoed about similar whp but a bit different power band. +3, -5 gave me more usable power

all these time are with street tyres and only seats emoved from my n15 lucino
