choke at WOT??
So I noticed this only happens after a night of racing. The last couple race nights I would do a few lil pulls on the way home and the car would choke and die down. As I hold the throttle you can hear the throttle wide open and trying but the car revs straight down and when I let off its ok again.

I cannot figure this out. Tonight I was making a pull and about 5500 in third it did it then after that it would do it consecutively. If I apply throttle lightly it runs ok..

I am stumped.. Is it something dumb I'm overlooking??

What do you mean the car revs straight down? Like at wot, the rpm's dont climb at all?

I was thinking fuel pump when it first happened.. I'll get it scanned and see whats up.

My vac line from VC to intake is kinked right now like pretty badly.. Could this do it? Maybe at WOT it pinches off?

Similar problem Issue here.. WOT car would CHOKE and wouldn't go until you let off the throttle and on the throttle again. Check all your Spark Plug Wires, Make sure NONE of them are BURNED, check your ignition Coil and Wire as well. My Wire had Burned COMPLETELY and figured out that was what was causing the "RANDOM" CHOKE at WOT.

Make sure All your Wires are PLUGED in Tight and Securely.

check your maf. it may be reading too low. those are the first signs every once in a while then it will start doing it all the time.

Wires tested out okay, no unusual engine codes, cap and rotor are fine..?

I checked fuel pump and in tank filter and they are ok. I recently cleaned my maf.. I'll have to recheck the voltages. Could TPS be it at all? I looked at my voltage on my tps and at closed trottle its .1xx and wot is 3.1xxx I know thats wrong and I will be adjusting it in the morning but could that be the culprit for the hard choke?

It might be the problem, as it's way off. Let us know how it works out
