Thread: installing sr16 cam question

ok guys me again when i installed my sr16 cams the guy told me my timing looks like if someone tampered with it i told him the engine cam from japan so i dont know he said he will set back my timing to stock i told hime leave it so how does this look to you guys

Turn crank pulley to 0 degree or make sure its like that when u are done. It's 10 o'clock intake and 12 o'clock exhaust.

cant see the dots on the gears from the pic....

And it looks like there are 20 rollers between the dots on the gear, which is what there sould be, but I cant see the dot on the intake cam gear to be sure, check that. If there are, then you are good to go. The colored links wont match up but once every 100 revolutions or something, they are just used for assembly pretty much. I'm assuming that's why he thinks the timing is off, because the colored links didnt fall into place...

The dots are one tooth to the right of the dowel, so I can tell where the exhuast is but not the intake

fixed.... at one point its out by a teeth but dont watch that.... just keep spining till u reach 40. if u dont get it by then somethings off, if u get it earlier then u one lucky sob
