pretty sure factory timing is 5 degree's for a ve, and 15 degree's for a de.

i had the assumption that on a de ecu the vvl must me more advanced to run better de to the bigger injectors?

you need a nistune/nismotronic daughter board yesterday with the right injectors and maf, other wise trouble awaits.

Better get a NismotronicSA if you want to activate VVL.

Yeah you shouldn't hook up VVL yet until you get a better flowing intake and exhaust

ECU should match the hardware in the car.

Your car will run very poorly, get shitty mileage, smell funny, and be rather annoying if you are looking for any sort of performance or even a normal functioning engine.
