Thread: Idling Problem.

Was wondering if anyone can help me with an idling issue. Have sr20ve, t3/t4 turbo, gm 3bar map, 750cc injectors, adjustable cams, metal head gasket, electronic boost solenoid and an aem ems 2 with the aem 24-1 54mm cas disk. Ok here's the problem, the car starts right up but stays idling at 1600 rpm and doesn't lower. Also when i give gas, the engine won't rev at all. Feels like it stuck on launch control but its set to 7200 rpm. Also i have altered the engine harness from a 1.6 to 2.0. Y cuz i have a 94 4dr LE and i cant find a 94 se-r engine harness know where. So anyone might know what would be wrong. All the sensors are working fine because the ems hasn't any errors lite up. Need help, so i can take it to tune..

You need to calibrate your throttle sensor and you need to also set base timing on the engine and sync it up with what the AEM EMS is saying. I have a feeling these are causing some issues. Also, are you running IACV? If so, spin the adjuster all the way closed, count the turns to get full open and then back it down half way. You need to get through the basics before you mess with things. ALSO, disable any launch control and 2 step options and you may want to give it a bit more timing at idle to clean things up.
