ive used a b13 realtime and tuned a gtir. The GTir has a resistor box in the fender well.

So are there any advantages to running a gtir ecu with tunercode? What extra functionality comes with it?

Might as well go s13 then and get COP rather than b13.

map imo is a better system, maf's can have ALOT more issues with grounding problems, becoming dirty, and effecting the way the car runs.

The way how the GTI-R manifold is designed would not allow for side feed injectors. They basically used the same injectors that they were running in the R32 skyline gtr. I would think it was more cost effective to run what you already have in stock and add a resistor. I had a pulsar motor in my car for ten years before i switched to the VVL head and the resistor is pretty easy to wire up. Matter of fact i still have it in there.

I had asked on ECCS.Hybridka about the very same thing because I thought that the GTiR ecu had native peak and hold drivers, Calum himself replied and told me no it was an ordinary saturated type driver.

The driver circuit is not identical but not very different to the DE ecus the (4) green resistors? are a different value. at least from what i can tell. I had always meant to look at the output pulse with a scope and see if there was anything special about it but never got around to that.

I later thought after the dissapointment that given the age of the GTiR that maybe at that time for the injector size 440cc? and the style (top feed) it was the best option available for what nissan wanted.

As to this statement dave "You cannot run high impedance injectors with a peak-and-hold driver", no its quite fine to run high imp on a peak hold driver.

By the way anbody knows what happened to ECCS.Hybridka, I see its evaporated.
