Hallett Raceway Track Event for MOKA region
I'm trying to organize a Nissan-only track event for the MOKA region.
Hallett Motor Racing Circuit

MOKA being Missouri, Oklahoma, Kansas & Arkansas

I have a friend who thinks a stock S13 (so stock it has to include all season tires) could beat my B13 simply because it is RWD.... He is aware of the modifications done to my car. Important to note, he's not a young RWD fanboi, he's in his 30's and been around modifying cars for a long time. But I believe he only has drag strip experience. Not 100% sure on that.

So I am introducing the "Nissan S13 vs. B13 Challenge!"

Looking at pricing, we could get a weekend track for $150 a person if we had 20 people participate. But we would need a little help from sponsors. (PM me if interested)

I'd like to make this an annual event.

How did you come up with 150 a person for 20 people? If you are taking the 2785 for competition events and dividing by 20 and rounding up you are doing it wrong... You still have alot of other expenses. Normally track days like what you are wanting to setup are put on under the "test days" pricing.

So that comes out to $214.25 per person. That or you are going to have to find emergency people, insurance, etc that is free.

we'd need a little more than a grand from sponsors.... and I'm hoping to get assistance from SCCA connections that I have.

Ok so you are accounting for sponsors already then... Cool. I didn't consider $1285+(misc other costs) "a little help".

$150 is an awesome deal for Hallett. Only reason I questioned it is because I have seen people set up events before and not realize what all really needs to go into it and have track days fall apart on them. Typically with sponsor help they run in 200+ range from what I've seen for Hallet, ECR, MSR, etc

If it isn't Nissan and MOKA only I'd show up.

Yeah I'm employing the help of others to let me know what other costa are going to be involved. I got a little anxious and posted this without much more research than the price of Hallett's track... I assummed that the price included insurance and guys on the corners... we are probably going to have to open it up to people outside of MOKA too.. And people outside of Nissan, my goal isn't to compete with the Nico/SERCA convention...

Cool. I'll try to follow this and go up there for it.

It can be done for that cost, but takes a little leg work.

Sounds like a plan, Betsy needs to get on a track sooner or later... Is this gonna be this summer or what matt? I've been on ballet before, very tough track.
