B15 Fuel Problems
My wife and i drive a B15 SE. She drives it mostly. Anyway she now has 120k on the clock and the DE still running strong. Every now and then it will not rev pass 2k until i put fuel injector cleaner in it. Any B15 owners run in this problem before?

Not I. I have around 120K on mine too, but have not had that problem.

Do you have access to a ecu scanner? If so, are you getting any codes? Sometimes there are codes that haven't thrown the cel yet.

This same situation happened to my daughter Tiffany's car earlier this year. The problem was the egr valve had gone bad. Got a new one from Greg V and the car has run perfectly since.

I'll add to that, since I was the one driving the car when it did it and Dad never was (he just had the ability to pull up the codes).

It would not happen all the time, just sometimes if I was hitting the gas, the car would not accelerate past about 2.5, instead it would stutter as if it was out of gas, I would let off the gas and try again and most of the time it would be fine and I wouldn't have the problem again for a few days or a few weeks.

From what it sounds like, that is the same thing that is happening to your car. I haven't had the problem since we changed the valve and it has been a few months.

doesnt want to go past 2k, then eventually goes past it?

check some motor mounts as well. i need to change mine, front and rear and if i give it full throttle from a stop, it gets sluggish, and feels like it just hit a brick wall or something.

i recently seafoam'd everything for the b15, and it seemed to do a lot of good. 1 whole can in the gas tank, 1 whole can in the crankcase for 2 days before oil change, and one whole can in the brake booster, 1/3 a can at a time for that. got rid of that hesitation.
