GA post swap questions
So I just finished my first engine swap, swapped a 98 engine into a 96 body that had a blown engine removed. First of all I noticed the high pressure power steer hose doesn't have a pressure sensor on it like the 96 did, doesn't seem to effect anything by not having it plugged in tho. 2nd the throttle position sensor on the 98 has 2 sockets on it when my 96 has one, it fits and having only one of the sockets connected seems to be fine also. 3rd, the 96 exhaust had the 2nd o2 sensor coming from under the front seats into the back of the cat but I put my newer exhaust in which has the 2nd 02 sensor in the down pipe bcuz my new cat is a header/cat combo. Does having the 2 pieces separate benefit at all? I heard it just being comboed was for convenience, doesn't really effect performance. That being said I had to cut the o2 sensor to extend it to the down pipe in the new exhaust, should I be ok doing this? 4th for some reason my temp gauge isn't working. It doesn't move at all, fans kick on, car doesn't seem to over heat and my heat blows hot, what could be wrong? I tested another gauge cluster but still not working. Lastly when I accelerate I hear a sound from around the back passenger side of the engine that sounds very close to an exhaust leak but the exhaust piping is fine...could it maybe be a gasket of some sort? Oh and I think I may have a crack in the brake line, to check out. All those problems and some how no check engine light lol....had a brake light on but it went off, been using the ebrake to stop it when I test run her....

I also noticed theres a few things that must be new on the 98 thats not on the 96 for EVAP. The EVAP canister purge volume control valve, MAP/BARO switch solenoid valve and EVAP canister purge control solenoid valve.....should I be ok tho not having anything plugged into them becuz like i said it must be something new to the 98...
