Thread: 98 SE noob question.

Ok, here goes, did all 98 SEs come with keyless entry/alarm? Reason I ask, there's no security LED on the cluster.

I do know the car is a 98, it has the white tach and speedo, not sure if the cluster was ever changed. I looked in the engine bay, the relay box on the passenger side has a spot for keyless entry, but there's no relay there, nor a connection.

The car also does not have a sunroof, not sure if there were different packages available at the time, maybe no sunroof = no keyless entry?

I'd just like to find out before I waste money on a key fob, only to find out I have no keyless entry.

my car is the same thing, no light on dash, no relay or fuses, had a guy look it up by VIN he said it does but im not seeing how ?

It should have keyless entry. I know the 98 GLE I recently owned had keyless entry, non-sunroof.

hmm...maybe I look for a cheap key fob on ebay and try to program it?

does it have the spring that when the hood is open when the alarm is active causes the horn to go off or siren ,

In all year 200sx and sentra keyless entry was a option .

Strange, you figure the SE would be the top of the line Sentra..hmm

It doesn't have the alarm pin switch. And its missing all the relays associated with the alarm and keyless entry. What a POS

My 98 SE does not have a sunroof or keyless entry/Alarm. However, it does have a place to plug in the relays. As it sits, It doesn't have the relays for keyless entry. I am interested to know if I could find the relays for at least keyless entry and plug them in and get if I get the correct fob if I could ultimately have keyless entry. That would be cool.
