Thread: engine swap

i have an 01 se 2.0 and the motor is done. can i replace the roller rocker motor with a non roller rocker motor like say out of a b14 or do i have to make sure to find a rr motor? its an auto its not my car i just want to get this car back on the road for a friend of mine,

Best bet is to swap blocks, as long as the roller rocker head is still good?

you can, but I tried with a highport - never did get it running right, just wound up getting a RR engine from a wrecker instead. saves the hassle of working with air/fuel/sensors, etc

if you swap motors, you have to swap over ALL sensors, including throttle body (means making an adapter) and EVERYTHING.

most likely the head is still good, so just swapping blocks will be 100000x easier.

or...where are located? if close enough, Ill trade my maxima for his car plus cash.

its a her and the head is probly the problem it over heated pretty badly, i just want to do a whole engine swap to not have to take the engine apart and have the head checked and have to put it all back together. guess i will start a search for a rr motor.
