Thread: DE Bad Idle

My De motor is having bad idle when it cold. It drive fine but whenever i come to a stop it would die. But when it warm up it drive fine and wont die at all. Car idle at 800rpm. It has no EGR and all the vacuum to it are block so it not leaking, i think.

Mine does the same thing 1993 se-r 100,000 miles on her. Even put new plugs wires sometimes it works great then some days it is rough as hell when i start it in the morning.

what is your DE in? By your sig, i see you have a B13 with a VE... i'm trying to figure out if you have a highport or lowport..

Mine is a white 1993 se-r all original with the exception of a k&n air filter. Im starting to think my cap and rotor has something to do with it. Dont think its an injector problem.

What about the fact that you have a DE maf still - what is your JWT ECU programmed for in that respect

Mybad, it a highport with stock ECU. Took the VE out to get some work done to it. But yea the issues is my highport DE it would have bqd idle some days and somedays it run fine. Engine is stock, with eBay header and intake. Also running DE maf.
