Thread: Adding foglights and se-r Trunk

I would like to add the se-r foglights and the se-r trunk on my SE. Where do the wires for the lights in the trunk and the foglights connect at?

ok to add the trunk, you just disconnect and remove the 3rd brake light from the back window.. then you plug the 3rd brake light wire from the trunk into where the one in the back window was plugged into.. everything plugs right in..

not sure on the fog lights, but check around/under/behind the front bumper..

You can just wire the fogs into your parking lights or get a toggle switch and wire them to that.

yea but i think the wirings there, he just needs the button for the center console an to hook them up..

i looked at my gf's old se cause i was gonna put my old ones on it, it looked like it had the wiring but it started to rain an i decided to sell em..

ok what about the lights that are on the trunk arent those supposed to come on with when the tail lights come on

for the trunk lights, there should be 3 wires from the the outer brake lights. the ones that stay on when u turn on park lights and brightens when you step on the brakes. i remember hooking mine up for when it just stays on. just jump it. i had the wirings from the old trunk. for fogs, i had to do the wiring and relay. ur se probably doesnt have the stock wiring as se-rs are the ones that comes with it.

yea i had the whole se-r to work with, i think i might of used the actual tail lamp fixture from the se-r.. it was a few years ago.. all in all everything plugs in if you have all the stuff from the se-r..

If you are adding fog lights look for the wiring out of a 91 SER. The ones that I have seen do not have the fog lights integrated into the harness they are add ons, even going through their own hole in the firewall. The later cars had the fogs as part of the regular harness.
