Externally mounted (hood/cowl) oil pressure gauge
Debated posting this here or members rides, I chose here to be more chassis specific.....
5+ years ago with my build coming to a close and money becoming tight, and not knowing the difference between a mechanical or electric oil pressure gauge, I saw a big difference in price and went with the mechanical autometer. Long story short; delays, fittings, and a now 3 year old child have held me back with hooking it up. I've since removed the gauge from my dash mounted tri-pod and filled the hole with my uego. I want to mount it externally to certainly safeguard against an in-cab oily mess in case of gauge failure.
Who, if anyone, has done this on a b13 and could ya post me pictures of your mount and under hood area, also offering any issues and experience with this setup.
It looks as if I WILL have to drill the hood, doesn't look as if the hood will clear the gauge when opening if mounted on the cowl.
Thanks
