low to mid 70's today and SUNNY in the northeast!!!!! The Civic's and WRXs will be out all over the place. So I am preemptively answering the topic of this thread: washed, waxed, vacuumed, and broke in the clutch some more

New rear brake pads (Porterfield R4-S) and new rear rotors (StopTech Sport Rotors to match the Front rotors) going on the B13 today.

A friend and I dropped the transmission yesterday because my throw out bearing apparently exploded when I started the car. First time doing anything like that, took quite a few hours and some beer. That b13 transmission is quite light. Now comes the question of what do I replace while I have it out.

Kyle LMK how you like the Stoptechs, I had them on my L31 SE-R feelings were mixed so I was unsure about getting them for B13

so I was changing the screws that secure the caps on the injectors and messed up my fuel dampener.

I couldn't get these screws out so I had to do some hacking and pounding. As a result the ear on the dampener broke. The carnage.....

Washed, waxed, installed new StopTech slotted rear rotors and Porterfield R4-S rear brake pads. I fixed the slight leak I had in the front left tire, the valve stem was the culprit and replaced and rebalanced the wheel.

Lastly, I removed those hideous blue NGK plug wires and put on the OEM wires. One step closer to authenticity.

@Storm88000 I used the same rotors at AMP Convention 2013. They have minimal noise, brake very well, and create a little extra dust as expected. I now have the same rotors front and rear. Carbotech pads up front and Porterfield pads in the rear.

Took it out twice today. An afternoon run to Pep Boys for power steering fluid, and an evening run to the liquor sto'.

FINALLY swapped the DE valve cover for a more efficient VE one.

After almost 6 years and 30,000 miles, that's a clean top end!!! :-)
