Gutting out the b13
ive taken my car apart and im @ the point where im starting to put it back together... 1st things 1st, I HATE WIRES, theres alot of **** that is no longer going to be used and well, i have 1 specific question.... What is that silver box behind the passenger kick panel? i thought it might be the ABS ecu but theres so many wires going to it i cant figure it out..... i took out the abs from my car and put it to non abs...(changed lines, dist. block, and master cylinder, brakes work great, i just wanna know what the hell is the box and can it be removed/unplugged without causing problems or is it stuck there... my other b13 doesnt have it but its a non abs shell... HELP!

You have to give people some time lol. Can you take a pic of it? I don't rememeber my NX having anything over there, but it's been a LONG time since I stripped mine.

to the right side kick panel the service manual says there is the abs and the sunroof relay (if equipped) under the dash the fan motor relay and to the left kick panel the ECU.

Yup, that's the ABS computer. I took mine off and it doesn't cause any problems.

The passenger side kick panel covers the ABS computer, the driver's side kick panel covers the auto trans computer (where applicable), and the ECU resides in the middle of the car under the dash between the driver and passenger. If you remove the ABS computer and you have a sunroof equipped car, your sunroof will cease to function.
