Thread: Surge of pressure when filling up

When I open my gas tank after going through a full tank, a loud surge of pressure comes out of the tank. Is this normal? I already replaced the fuel cap with a new one as a precaution.

haha Yea its totally normal. Every car does it. When your really really low on gas and you take the cap off , its just gas fumes coming out thats all. Is this your first car or something? but yea , dont worry about it man.

Yeh it's normal, not all cars do it though.
