sounds like that gonna cost alot

when this happened to me I just took out one of the other shims, measured it and ordered the same one. Worked fine for me.

sounds good....i think i'm just gonna go that route b/c i need my car running.....btw how do u go about installing the new shims? i've never had to do this before so is there a thread somewhere for it? N also if the car was tuned previously, would i need a retune after installing the shims?

You shouldn't need a retune after. I would highly suggest getting someone that knows what they are doing to help you or do it. You can mess allot of things up if you don't do this job right.

wish i had someone who could do it but i don't....shops in town don't want 2 mess w/ it cuz they don't deal w/ cars that have motor swaps.

Motor swap? It is pretty much the same engine as the USDM one. I would just tell them it is a turbo'd engine and not a swapped engine. How far are you away from madison?
