I would agree clutch disc is in backwards.

lol. Guys you cannot put in the clutch backwards or you wouldnt be able to bolt anything down. There is a reason why one side of the clutch sticks out and the other does not. If you put it in backwards the long part of the clutch that has the springs would hit the flywheel bolts.. Its most likely the clutch disk spring failed on you. It happen to me twice already within the last year. Same issues. Car woudlnt go into gear with the car on but when off it would..

edit. By the way it was a JGY clutch six puck....and the other was clutchnet both times the springs broke

you would think that yes....but when youv bee up for 24 hours straight and had a few beers, youd be surprised what "fits". ive seen it happen. I expect its in backwards or the spring popped out. i JUST delt with spring failure myself. on a nw clutch though id be a LITTLE surprised though. hope it n easy fix for him either way. usually is.

It is possible to put it in backwards. The clutch disc should have been marked indicating which side was the flywheel side.

hmm you find me one person that actually bolted up there flywheel disk and put the tranny on and everything put together with a backwards disk and i will belive you. im telling you it aint happening you phisically just cant do it unless you guys have some way diffrent disk i cant see it. sure it will line up but everytime i have tried it the flywheel bolts smack the top part of the disk

i want to tell everyone thanks for there help. the clutch was not instal backward the bearin was the issue.
