here is all i did,
took a dremal and and cut away.

as you can see i took it straight off from the bottom
put a big washer on top so it was a tight and held down nicely

it is clocked to the left a little, basically if you look at it as a clock the compressor is straight and the and a/c line is tilted at 11 o'clock. if you do this you will understand because you will feel how it sits flush now with each other at this angle. here is a crappy phone photo of how flush they are together now

I'll post pics here in a bit, I picked up two B14 GA16 lines yesterday. I expieremented on the nasty looking one, and got it to fit great! They are both from a 95-96 Sentra US built, the part number is 92480-4B000 and fits 11/94 to 8/96 production date. I'll post some pics here in a bit, I had to tweak the portion that in the above pictures had to be reeemed. If you tweake it with a vice, then you'll have no clearance issues and won't have to reeem the hole. It looks like instead of the B13 line that goes strait up, this one goes towards the frame rail and may decrease your ability to remove the alternator and a/c belt, as well as the alternator...in other words, you may have to get the a/c system evacuated and recharged every time you have to change a belt or the alternator...which may suck. I'll do some more test fitting and post pictures here in a bit.

Sentra you got those pics? I also thought of bending the hard pipe in a vise grib, but cutting the bolt hole was just as or easier. My only concern is that if there is vibration in the line that sooner or later by rubbing off on the compressor the line will get a hole.

Still no pics, grr...got all the lines flushed, a huge glob of grease came out of the evaporator when I flushed it. I decided to try and change out the clutch bearing....to those who are thinking of trying...I would use your time somewhere elce, I maxed out my 20ton press trying to press the bearing out and broke my clutch. Time to find a new clutch pulley since Nissan doesn't sell it seperate and NO ONE makes an aftermarket one!! GRRRRRR.

Just reporting back on my AC status. It seems to be working like a charm, at least at highway speeds .

Drove the car for 4 hours yesterday and it came in very helpful. No leaks, or anything. Now I still wouldn't mind a GA line just to spare the head ache of clearing the heat shield.

The b14 GA16 line won't clear the altenator. I was just gonna have mine cut and modified to clear, but I'll try some other things to get it to clear the alty with enough room to allow for a belt change or alty removal. I'll likely tackle that tomorrow or this weekend. I'll let you guys know if I can modify the GA line enough to allow proper clearance.

Did you use the correct machine to vacuum it? Or some homemade setup?
