Someone did do a write up on putting 6.5in subs in your factory rear speaker location.

Should look around for it.

If you look at my threads, I put 2 elemental design subs in the rear deck or you can PM me and I'll help you out.

there was another guy with a b14 that did this too, we used 2 different methods of fitting them. i can't remember his name though he had a white 4 door and was in florida i believe. he would be another good one to contact.

Sentrixx is the guy that used eu700's in his B14. He has a differennt set-up now though. Its really cool. He still used 2 eu700's but he made a fiberglass enclosure for them that sits inside his spare tire.

However, he removed the pictures from the thread because his design is pending a patent. Its in the Audio and Electronics section.

yeah, sentrixx is the guy i was trying to remember. i knew about the fiberglass setup because i looked at that thread. either way he is still a good resource, mine should be too since I had a bunch of pics in a B13. not that there is much difference between the 2 in this aspect.

I don't run any speakers in the rear deck. I like my mids and highs to be staged in the front. A sub can be put anywhere as it is non-directional.

Two 6" subs in the rear deck in an infinite baffle configuration should work well for you since you are using the IKEA brace. The key to infinite baffle is to make sure the rear deck and seats are completely sealed.

If you are going to use ED 7kv.2s you will have to modify or remove the trunk spring because the magnets on the subs wont fit.
