Thread: Disassembling Starter Solenoid

I have a issue with my starter, the power post for the solenoid got it's threads all buggered up. I got it to work with a thread chaser, but there's not enough left for the nut to grab to keep pressure on the power ring. This starter is perfectly fine, and I'd hate to go get a new one just because of these silly threads. Is there any way to get inside that solenoid to get at the back end of this post? How can I fix it (short of welding the power ring on :rofl?
