It is worth doing in my eyes. The wal brother pulls more current than the stock pump. It can't hurt, even on a stock pump.

Thanks that was what I did
Turned out great...heres some pics and details of the install.
I will do this to any/every time from now on.Even on a stock pump,I would bet it makes a difference.

Very nice, it is an easy mod that is also a bit of insurance.

yes, unless the relay fails...Then I think it cuts fuel entirely...
.I did use a Bosch relay but relays do fail on occasion

well that relay lasted like 150 miles.I thought myself and @jfeli were gonna be walking home.
I had a piece of wire to jump it to get it home but WTF?

It was a used relay...Bosch though. SMH I actually already ordered 2 new ones since my dumb ass used this unknown origin relay....I know better than that

So this begs the question ...is there a way to have a backup relay or some type of failsafe setup so I dont have this happen again...or on the dyno or something worse??

man I have like 20 of the Nissan ones I may try one on the VVL activation.
I THOUGHT the bosch would be more reliable and it has a nice plug for it,but it was a old mystery used one from a pile of parts in my garage...lol

Jay I have never had a step up relay fail. I always use new relays. Don't forget to put a fuse between the relay and the power source.
