Oil Dummy Light Blinks Off Then On and Off During Some Starts
Hey guys,
During some starts my oil light turns off like it should, but right when it shuts off it blinks on again for a second and then finally shuts off. It doesn't come on again while driving and this doesn't happen during all starts. I can turn the car on for the first time in the morning and sometimes it won't do it, but if I leave the car parked for 20-30 minutes sometimes it'll do it. Is this normal? I have an Autometer oil pressure gauge hooked up and at idle it's at about 12.5 psi and while driving at around 3000 rpm or above it's around 50 psi, which per FSM is within spec. I don't know how accurate it is, but during cold starts the psi is higher until I start to drive for a couple of minutes which I have heard is also normal.
My oil pan has little dents here and there, but nothing major and I've been driving it like that for about 2 years with my JDM swap. I have had my car parked for about 1 year and don't remember if it did this before I parked it.
I'm also currently using 5W30.
Thank you!!
