You should check your fan wires for resistance. It's entirely possible that replacing a single wire will fix it.

Wire 9+10 to one pole of a switch.
Run the second pole to a ground.

Stop making it complicated. Don't cut anything, just splice it.

Vadims diagram will probably make your **** explode. The ECU grounds the relay from the factory.

Did you hook it up to the AC switch? That's my favorite way to hook it up.

no, i just got a cheap switch.
