Pulled the trigger and got an '06 Altima SE-R
I was originally getting a 2010-2012 Maxima, but you guys talking about the CVT transmission being crap made me research a bit and change my mind. I got a great deal on the Altima instead and saved like 6k.

Pros: TONS of room. My entire PA system for my shows fits in the trunk. All leather seats, heated too. 3.5 liter 260hp V6 engine, excellent highway acceleration, nice Bose system with sub/satellite radio. Decent MPG. Cluster indicated around 24mpg in city, 30mpg highway. 18" wheels with enormous brakes for stock. Car and Driver hit 14.6 stock in their review. Not bad.

Cons: It's a boat, climate control vents are weird.

Here is the car in my driveway:

Oh well, just wanted to share.

It's all my dad. He got the first '87 Sentra and then a '93 Sentra XE. I fell in love even with the GA16DE engine.

I want one of these to possibly replace my P11! The gas mileage that you are getting is tons better then what I get on my p11, I get 19/30 with 6 speed and turbo, thus this makes me want this car even more!

How much did it run you up? I'm not sure if I want to wait for them to get cheaper or start looking for one nowish....

Also jealous of IRS!

It was a good deal.. KBB value is around 11-12k, lets set I got it for MUCH MUCH less. I needed a dependable reliable car that had lots of room that had AIR CONDITIONING!! The '92 VVL is currently parked in the garage of my new house. New house and new car in 1 week, not bad, lol.. I sold my SUV and hopefully will be selling my 200sx in the next week. Well the house thing took about 2 months of crap until it finally went thru

So check this out, I set cruise doing 65mph on the turnpike for about 20 minutes..

....and about 5 minutes later after I snapped that pic it went up to 36.4 MPG! that's insane. Of course after I exited and got onto stop and go roads it went down to like 24-26 - whether or not that's optimistic it's still pretty good for a big ass sedan with a 3.6 V6.
