Thread: P10T vs. P11 transmissions

So, I was wondering, has anyone ever put the P11 transmission on an AWD P10?

I've been looking through nissan4u.com, comparing the transmissions from the 2wd vs the 4wd P10 (both supposed to be the RS5F32A transmissions), and comparing them with the P11 one.

Since the P11 should fit every car with an SR, it would fit the AWD P10 as well, wouldn't it?

Reason I ask is that there's a P10T for sale over here, for a decent price, but I already bought a shitload of parts for my NX, amongst them a P11 transmission with Nismo LSD. If I can't make the P11 transmission work with the transfer case on the P10, I won't give the P10 anymore thought, and pass on it.

Yeah, your P11 tranny will work on the awd, i have
a awd p10 and the tranny bell is the same.
The only thing thats impossible is to put the awd
tranny on the fwd engine, because the awd block
is much thiner because of the awd transmisson.
The code of the tranny RS5F32A is for the internals
i think, because the awd and fwd are the same inside.
the P11 00+ and B15 are 70 series, so they are much
stronger than the older 32 series trannys.

Have you ever opened them? Because i have,
and they are same 32 series, and there is only
little difference because of the awd diff thats
attached to the tranny. thats the reason why
the awd tranny cant go on a awd block!
In my garage are sitting awd and fwd P10
trannys.

The awd P10`s are really rare, i am from europe and i have
real rare P10 awd beacuse the most of them are RHD mine is
LHD for the EUDM! Unfortunatly its in my backyard waiting for
a new AWD SR20 engine, the stock gave his last breath last
year

Problem with the rarity is the fact that you can't get new parts if you need them, or upgrade the existing. I've seen some pics of the AWD transmission, and I compared them to my FWD P11 transmission, and the transfercase will not bolt onto the P11 tranny

The AWD transfercase is impossible to bolt on the FWD tranny, the only
way is to get the whole Bluebird or GTIR tranny(50 series), because they are
muuuch stronger than the stock P10 and P11 AWD tranny`s (32 series).

Yeah the rarity is my problem too, i live in europe and here you cant
find much SR20 stuff, for example we dont have SR20VE engines in
europe, and no parts to get here for a VE!

You want to go awd on your car or what?

Well, I'm from Europe as well, and I have gathered a lot of upgrades for my NX, including a VE that I'm planning to +T with a GT3076r, and a P11 (late model) transmission with Nismo LSD.

Then the Primera came around, and it piqued my interest. But if I can't fit the €1000 transmission on there, then it's a no go for me :P
