Are these on stock bottom end Sr20VE motors? That sounds like a very interesting concept. I might have to consider that.

When the VVL kicks in with these cams it's like a 100 shot, full boost right away.

JP's motor was on stock bottom end until around that 671whp when it finally lifted the head with the stock gasket and headbolts blowing the headgasket.

The rest of us are not as crazy as JP was and built our bottom ends. lol

not a good idea. You want to have low backpressure with these cams your you will run into problems.

What he said^^^

The SR16 cams work ok on my setup only because the manifold and turbine housing are divided. I probably wouldn't see as nice of a powerband if the housing was undivided, though peak power i suspect would increase with a .82 open housing... at least on the top end. High revs on the divided housing still creates some backpressure issues.

Gio mentioned this to me as well. He was on the 2 liter cams and he said on the dyno as soon as the VVL kicked over the car shot up over a 100 whp of the bat.

Damn I can't wait!!
