i was able to put down 365 whp@20 on a JGY bb37 (2871R) with a bone stock det on a jwt program. so i dont see how its not possible for people with cams etc to lay down 400 whp on a t2 turbo. now is it the easiest way probably not but eh.

My turbo is good for roughly 550 whp at 30 psi on my setup. Any larger of a turbo I would consider big turbos.

VW guys think GT2871 is a BIG turbo

lol, yeah the vw guys are crazy with their small turbos. But i think that has more to do with how well their engines are designed to run efficiently as well and their anti detonation properties and definetly their tuning. They have some of the best tuning capabilities and options out there.

Oh and mazda guys think a 2871 is a huge turbo as well. As well as making in the 300-350whp range is a lot to them. hahaha

no doubt. there was a local vw guy I ran into that was running high boost on a gt3071r with a stock fuel system.

newer vw run a very high fuel pressure stock so it is possible.

Cortrim^^^15psi on a GT28rs and S4's equaled 342whp! Wonder what 5 more psi wouldve netted.

I had issues with the jwt tune and had to use a safc-2 to get the a/f under control. Dre told me to turn up the boost to 17-18psi but I kept it where it was due to the jwt base tune. you can see what I got planned for my ve-t. its t2 based.

stock ecu and fuel systems do not like 30psi of boost from a t3 gt3071r. His car went boom on the dyno.

You are trying to do it on whats equivalent to a 3071.

QFT. Not an easy task to do, without an excellent tune and supporting mods
