SR20ULY, that's a perfect question to ask in a new thread.

the answer is i dont see anything wrong with it at all as long as the clutch disk fits onto the pressure plate just fine. But i dont see why not being the flywheel mating surface for the clutch disk is in the same spot.

Neways coheed, hit me up on where to get those modifications done. Im looking at getting a new clutch disk and pressure plate. I really probably only need a new pressure plate as my 5 year old ACT extreme has a lot of wear on it and is probably the cause of the top of 4th and 5th gear slipping a bit. But i figured i would just get a new disk as well and probably make it an unsprung as well.

I really want to just get another act extreme pp and 6 puck unsprung but this might bring in a new option.

i'm shooting for 250-300wtq and after reading every single post in this thread along with others I think I have decided upon a sprung setup mainly due to easier engagement, and less noisey... I am looking at the act xtreme setup but from the pics the springs look as though they would not need much to pop out..
ACT XTREME 6 PUCK CLUTCH KIT 91-99 SENTRA 200SX SER 2.0 : eBay Motors (item 190350019594 end time Feb-13-10 21:42:52 PST)
What are your thoughts, is it good for my application, and what about the price?? Please feel free to recommend another brand/setup

I had that clutch in my car back in the day. Loved it. I don't recall the price though so I cant help there; but it was not noisey, engaged like butter, and gripped like a bitch.

This is a ACT extreme pressure plate and six puck sprung after seven thousand miles. The car should be making over 300hp. I dyno'ed the car at 267whp with 13psi 10.8a/f 93 0ct. it was a base tune. Now im running 15psi leaned out my fuel to make it an 11.8 a/f 93 .Oct WOT. I still need to dyno tune the car abit. Then tune at 18psi But first i got to fix this clutch..

Hopefully the six puck unsprung would hold up.
Thanks coheed great thread

I've had great luck with my unsprung, and the sintered iron grabs really well, no chatter. The clutch is having some problems harnessing all the torque now though. But slipping clutch helps to save the turbo from some pretty bad surge. It spools way too fast heh heh.

But I love the clutch. I may be upgrading the pp to something a little heavier. I think the sintered material is great though. the pedal is nice on the knee, and it holds up pretty good. Slicks may require a heavier pp though.

what clutch setup are you using now coheed? I thought about the sintered iron stage 5 FX500 that clutchmasters makes wasn't sure how well it held up and its durability.

It is a sintered iron disc, but it has a lighter pp. It was custom made by slightly modifying the geometry of the stock pp to get 2000lbs of clamp.

The clutch doesn't like over 400lb ft of torque with this pp. When I have it off I will be getting something a bit stronger. The disc is awesome I love it.

everyone said that sintered iron would be very hard to drive and very harsh, but mine has been really good to me. No chatter, a little noise but that is it. I don't know how bad it has chewed the flywheel up, but it has been a very good clutch so far.
