No your definitions are wrong.
Bearing is bearing.
Hub has the wheel studs on it.
Spindle is the cast iron part that the bearing presses into and the strut and tie rod attaches to.

Sounds like hub is bad or was assembled wrong. Pics help greatly

Were the c clips re installed to keep the bearing in its spot?

Alright, so I need a new hub then - because the bearing was installed by a machine shop, so I assume that work is all ok. The parts guy at Nissan said that the part numbers are not the same for the 92 2.0 and the 92 1.6, so I'm...kind of concerned about ordering the wrong part. Their cost on the hub? $202 freaking dollars.

This sounds a little crazy to me that you cant find a hub for cheaper than $200.also wheel bearings are a weird this because they are a 3 part bearing so that being said they are sealed because they do not require you to lube or grease them but they are not sealed because they are 3 pieces. It is possible that you could find a new hub somewhere else like one for a 200sx they are around $80 brand new on rock auto if i remember correctly .

This is part of the reason I'm doing the 6 speed swap, can get the SPEC v newer hubs and spindles.

Oh shit wait a sec maybe I'm thinking about this backwards. Now that I really think about it...
If I get the SPEC v spindles and hubs and axles....the spindle and hub bolts on, but I gotta change the rear too, but the nx rear calipers are not upgraded, just simply changed to 4x114...kawt damn then I gotta change the rims too. Arg.

an $80 hub to me makes way more sense than a $2500 6 speed swap

I'd really like to know if the b14 hub presses into the b13 spindle, but do you think I could find anything? There's almost no documentation on it. There is however a 98 sentra in my scrap yard, if it has front stuff on it, maybe I can get the hub cheap and bust out the caliper to verify. For heaven's sake, $200 per is stupid, but $70 is much more bearable.

I got a new hub at Advanced Auto when it ate one of my bearings, everything has been fine since.
