Thank you Lam-park... i understand what your sayin... i´m saving for the Quaife, it´s my only option since i live in EU... but it´s soo damn expensive...

Also i´ve been modding this car for 3 years now, properly... carefully tought out, big brakes, really nice suspension before turbo etc etc... i´ve been on the modifying game for a while now... i tend not to belive in everything i read or follow everyones path, if you want, read my posts, and you´ll see what i mean...

This car is not my daily, and i intend to keep it for a long time... i love it...

I can get the 4.4FD really really cheap, and so i tought it was good way to make the car faster without upping the boost or messing more with the current setup, wich i´m pretty happy with...

But i´m afraid i´ll make the traction worse and make it "busy" on the highway... too "revvy", dificult to live with, would really like to hear first hand experiences...

The diff center? That will be replaced with the Quaife LSD... the crown wheel is all equal right?

So what you sayin is that the driveshats don´t work? or the actual open diff is of a diferent size?

But regarding the crown wheel it is the same right?

sorry, what i meant to say was that (4.4) crownwheel and pinion probably won't work with the diff. somewhere in production, nissan changed their c&p's so they wont work with the earlier diff centre. a number of guys been caught here. all i know is ( at least for my part of the world)your need the sedan c&p, not the hatch. if your on the aussie pga, i can put you in touch with a guy who knows all this stuff.

6speed would be much more expensive for him... even that he can get P12 6spd and just JDM SR20 P12 bellhousing. Still, much much more expensive that any shorter FD + LSD.

4.4 FD will work as they are both non-LSD trans.

I can help to get you a Mfactory diff. If i send it from Europe to you, you should not pay any taxes as we are both in European Union.

Yea Jagy, you´re right, 6spd not an option for me... would you do that for me?

How much is shipping from US to Czech Republic? Don´t you pay taxes at the arrival of the diff in your country Jagy?

Also the shipping from Czech Republic to Portugal wouldn´t it push the price near the Quaife?

The quaife is like 983€ the Mfactory 501€ but then i have to add the shippinf from US to Czech and then to Portugal, and if there´s no other costs involved... anyway it may be cheaper yes... that´s 500€left for shipping costs...

I have a similar power/torque output to you and daily drive-ability is a concern for me. I wouldn't even consider a shorter ratio on a setup like yours. If I could go a bit taller I might.

The Phantom Grip LSD modification is pretty useless on an open diff from what I'm told. It helps revive a VLSD and would be worth it, but I haven't heard good things when people put them in open diffs.

Don't use the Phantom Slip.

Quaife may tell you to pound sand unless you get 10 units ordered.

Mfactory has some nice things in the up and coming that may be beneficial for you as jagy has already suggested. More info can be view at MFactory® Competition Products - Performance Driveline Components and in the vendor section here on this forum. MFactory Competition Products

I´ve talked to quaife... they have them on stock ready to ship, no need to order in bulk...

Don´t understand how you can fit a PG inside a sealed VLSD??? I´ve heard that for the price, and for a street car a PG is better then nothing...

But nevermind the PG, that´s out of que equation... no shortcuts in this project at this stage...

I´ll have to investigate further what gearbox have the correct 4.4... but opinions like benfenner´s (wich i respect very much) tend to put me off and just forget about it... it was just because i can add it for cheap and no need to change setup...

Waiting for Jagy´s input... thx for the opinions you guys...

I use it mainly in the street, when i´ll go meet my friends, ocasional friendly comparison, ocasional gatherings and shows, stuff like that... on 8 of march i´ll do my first track outing, but it´s a really small Kart track, organized by a local nissan club(more drfit)... nothing really serious really...

I want the car to be really driveable and pleasureable... i think the quaife really suits... doesn´t the Helical Mfactory need maintenance?

About the 4.4 right now, i´m pending more not too...
